Katelyn joined the CERTS team in 2025 after more than 15 years working in nature-based therapy. Drawn to the outdoors from an early age, Katelyn completed an Outward Bound course after college, which led to her initial move to the Southwest and sparked her long-term commitment to experiential work with young people. She has since built her career around adolescent mental health treatment, and specializes in developing effective organizational systems through an attachment-informed lens. Her philosophy centers on supporting teams by engaging directly in the work, modeling accountability, and cultivating a collaborative culture. Katelyn is motivated by a desire to empower others and is most fulfilled when the collective success of her team is what shines.

Katelyn grew up just outside Washington, D.C., in McLean, Virginia. She attended Penn State University, earning bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Journalism and a minor in Business. A lifelong athlete, she is a proud former member of the Penn State Women’s Varsity Tennis Team.

Katelyn lives in southern Utah with her husband, two children and two dogs.
