Choosing the Right Program  |  Assess Your Child

Program Evaluation Image

Just about every program or school will tell you that they are the best option for your son or daughter. How can you know which one really will give you the best chance of changing a troubled life?

This worksheet helps you to objectively compare programs based on what kinds of programs and services they offer. It is based on the time-tested 10 Success Keys That Change Lives. As you evaluate each program, remember several things:

  • While price is ultimately the deciding factor in most cases, the saying, “You get what you pay for” is absolutely true with therapeutic programs. The most expensive program in the end is the one that doesn’t help your son or daughter to make lasting change. Look for the program that will provide as many of the Success Keys as possible within your price range.

  • Some of the better (and often more expensive) programs have financial aid packages (scholarships and/or loans) that can help a family to afford their service. Spending a little more now and getting better care can be an investment in avoiding future problems. Be sure and ask each program what financial aid options they have available.
